regenerative agriculture.
local community.
real food.
at moy hill farm our objective is to feed our local community with healthy nutritious food while regenerating the land and ecosystems. We build soil through regenerating ecosystems and we provide education and training on regenerative farming techniques on our 65 acre mixed regenerative farm in county clare on the west coast of Ireland.
community
community is at the heart of what we do. from the food we provide at markets, restaurants, to CSA veg boxes and our online farm shop. All of our produce is consumed within the local community and we value our important role in providing food to people in as many ways as possible.
We run farm tours throughout the year to show the community first-hand where their food comes from and how much care is taken to produce it responsibly. We also run a 6 month internship for people out there who are serious about taking on regenerative farming as a career path.
what is food sovereignty?
food sovereignty means that the land, farmers and citizens are at the centre of the agricultural story not agri business. Food sovereignty means we the people work together for our food and land use, and we make sure it's cared for in the best way possible into the future. we believe Every community has the right to act out its own food sovereignty.
moy hill farm is organically certified. we use a system of farming that sustains soil fertility, protects the environment and non-renewable resources.
Organic farming is a sustainable production system. certified Organic farming requires the consideration and application of production methods that do not damage the environment; a more respectful use of the countryside; concern for animal welfare and the production of high-quality agricultural products.
