Market gardening is one of the most productive enterprises per square meter. It requires a lot of input to make it so productive but is a very efficient use of space when managed well. I have been involved in market gardening since I was four years of age following my dad around his one-acre market garden.

We have had turkeys for two years and now we have Laying hens. We move our birds behind the livestock and it’s amazing to see the effects the birds have on the pasturE afterwards. The scratching and the manure they leave behind is like rocket fuel!

We keep Dexter cattle and Jacob sheep. These animals are amazing, it’s them who are managing the ecosystem and I am merely the steward. “It’s not the cow, it’s the how!”
